On the eve of their Champions League game against Chelsea, KRC Genk have trained on Stamford Bridge. Shortly before, Tözsèr and Been spoke to the press.
The press (both Belgian and English) turned out in large numbers in the pressroom of Stamford Bridge, the venue for tomorrow's game. The somewhat outdated stadium (Chelsea are planning to build a new one) will host, according to different sources, some 35,000 spectators. A large part of them (an estimated 3,500) will be Genk fans.
Coach Mario Been said to be very pleased with this massive turnout and support. "They are really our twelfth man, we are happy to play in front of such a crowd. Our fans proved to us on several occasions that they support us all the way. That is very important for the players. Especially in these circumstances, when you play against a topteam. We are going to give it all we've got to make our fans proud, whatever the result may be," Been said.
Masuero and Pudil are fit.
Masuero, who made his debut in Lokeren last Saturday but also got injured, seems to be fit to play. Most likely, he will play in the heart of the defense together with Tözsèr as they did in Lokeren. Daniel Pudil also looks like he's recovered and will take back his spot on left back.
