On Friday the appeal by KRC Genk and Barda was tried by the Football Association. The sentence of two days suspension and one day probationary stands.
Initially Barda was given a three day fine for his sending off in the game against OH Leuven. Because of the players absence due to Champions League obligations the objection against the sentence was tried on Tuesday. The fine was then reduced to two days suspension and one day probationary.
KRC Genk and Barda lodged an appeal but the sentence has now been confirmed. Barda will be ruled out for the games against Lokeren (away) and Mons (at home).
