It has been in the offing for a while now: 5G, or the 5th generation in telecom, is coming. In the future, this technology will bring about great opportunities for our club in all areas: in the sporting realm, with real time data on the players’ performance as well as organizationally, aiding aspects such as crowd flow and the Internet of Things. The matchday experience for supporters and ticketholders, will be enhanced as well, by digital experiences such as AR and VR. The many possibilities of 5G will soon be demonstrated for the first time in Belgium in the context of our football stadium.
