More success for a Genk international. Mark McKenzie has followed the great example set by his teammates. He was on the pitch with the US team – the United States Men's National Soccer Team, abbreviated to USMNT – for the full 90 minutes in Honduras.

The US team won 1-4 after what was a difficult evening for a long time. Honduras had taken the lead before half-time and had opportunities to score more. McKenzie was on the left in the centre of defence and he and his teammates had to get through a lot of work. The Americans scored early in the second half. Fifteen minutes before the end, it was 1-2 and Honduras then capitulated in the closing stages.

This was an important away win that puts the US in third place in the final round of the eight-nation CONCACAF qualifier. The US now has 5 points out of 9. The first three in the final standings qualify directly for the final round of the World Cup in Qatar.

For Mark McKenzie, it was his seventh international cap for the USMNT.
