Our club has reached an agreement with Jhon Lucumí on a one-year contract extension. Lucu is now committed to KRC Genk until mid-2023.
The strong Colombian defender has been playing for our club since the summer of 2018. He recently played his 100th game in a Genk shirt. As his contract expires next summer, the club was willing to cooperate in a lucrative transfer during the last transfer window, but nothing materialised. Out of mutual respect, both parties have now extended the commitment for another season.
Lucumí has already won the championship and the cup, but he is hungry and focused on continuing to do KRC Genk great service in the coming months and helping them to sporting success.
