By now we should all know how good the Croatian champions are given how well they have been performing on the international stage in recent years. To get a result, we will have to be at our very best. We will be able to count on all the players who have contributed to the team's performances so far this season.
Bongonda and Cuesta available
Théo Bongonda has missed the past three games – at Stayen, at Bosuil and against Seraing – but is ready for action. Carlos Cuesta has also been training without any problems and is ready to play. So our coach has plenty of options again.
John van den Brom: "Other than Simen Juklerød and the boys who are playing in the Youth League, everyone is available. It's a situation to be in. They dug deep again on Sunday, as the data shows. But it also tells us that they've recovered really well."
For the players, European football is always the pinnacle of a football season.
Kristian Thorstvedt: "These are matches we all look forward to. And we know that we can take a big step forward, after our win in Vienna. But we also know that Dinamo is a really good team."
Fantastic record in the UEFA Europa League group stage
KRC Genk have excellent statistics in the group stage of the UEFA Europa League. The last four times we qualified, we won the group each time and our results at home have been great: we won nine of the 12 matches we played in our stadium and drew three. If we can follow up on these results against Dinamo, it will certainly be a strong performance tomorrow. And then we would be well on the way to achieving our goal of being in a great position going into winter.
21 players to choose from
Simen Juklerød is the only player from the core group who is currently out injured. Vic Chambaere, Jay-Dee Geusens, Andras Németh and Luca Oyen were involved in our U19's win in the UEFA Youth League, against the German team 1. FC Köln. Németh himself made it 2-4. The team trained on the B-pitch tonight and then went into isolation at a hotel in the city.
