Former goalkeeper Sem Franssen (38) returns to a club which has a special place in his heart. Sem will become 'Technical Coordinator of Football' and in that capacity will work closely with Head of Football Dimitri de Condé.
Sem will help to further develop the club's 'DNA' and philosophy of play and will also be involved in strategic decisions on sporting and financial matters. At the same time, he will help to form a bridge to the youth academy.
Sem Franssen himself played for Genk from the age of 13 to 21, returning to the club four years later. The club is happy to see him return home and is looking forward to a great partnership.
