KRC Genk head towards the Champions' Play-offs full of confidence. The objective: to secure another European ticket. After a season in which our stadium was too small more than once and the support of our supporters could once again be heard all over Limburg, the message is more than ever: "KRC Genk, that's forever."
KRC captain Bryan Heynen and super talent Konstantinos Karetsas, both born and raised in Genk and formed at the Jos Vaessen Talent Academy, show off in the accompanying launch video in the new Home Kit 2024-2025. In it, they are flanked by three supporters. They symbolise the thousands of Genkies who stand behind the team week after week. In all weathers. In good and bad days. Forever. From the retired man who has carried blue and white in his heart for 35 years, to the young woman who stands for KRC Genk's family values, to the young supporters ready for another 35 years of dedication to our beloved colours.
"When the going gets tough, we dig extra deep here at Genk to still end up where we belong. That is the story of this season and of this shirt. For the launch, we travelled especially to Thor Park from where the mining tunnels run beneath our hallowed ground. That location symbolises our story and our season: even if we come from deep, talent always surfaces. With that mindset, we will confidently head into the Champions' Play-offs in search of a European ticket," echoes KRC Genk's General Director Erik Gerits confidently.
As usual, the club and representatives of the OSV KRC Genk and Tribune Zuid went to the drawing board together to design the new 2024-2025 home kit, in collaboration with clothing partner Nike. Representatives of the various supporters' organisations got the scoop early this week. With their blessing, the new 'Home Kit 2024-2025' will be on sale online and in the fanshop from Saturday, starting from 79 euros for an adult shirt.
On Monday night, Bryan Heynen and co will open the Champions' Playoffs at home against Union SG in their new kit. Representatives of all KRC Genk supporters' clubs will present the new shirt live on the pitch before the game.
