Sporting director Dimitri de Condé has committed himself to KRC Genk for the long term. In a manner of speaking, he has made a lifelong commitment to the club of his heart. As 'Head of Football', he wants to further professionalise KRC Genk in all football-related areas.
He has been sporting (or 'technical') director of our club since March 2015 and in that role he is primarily responsible for the sporting success achieved in recent seasons. In addition to the flow of academy-trained talents, he has brought a procession of promising football players to Genk, these being the fruit of the excellent work of the scouting team. They have been discovered in all manner of places, developed here and have taken the team to the next level and won honours in the process; this is the path the club wants to take, a method that brings success. And in this Dimitri de Condé has been crucial. That is why he is taking another step, moving higher in the organisation. As 'Head of Football' he will becomes ultimately responsible for all aspects within the club that have to do with football. He will be the determining factor in the sporting vision of the entire club, from the first team to the youngest talents in the youth academy.

Dimitri de Condé, Head of Football: “Racing Genk is a fantastic club and the club of my heart – that's no secret. I have also followed my heart with this renewed commitment, even though I have also been approached by other clubs in recent years. I feel valued here for what I do and I am proud of what we have achieved together in the six years that I have been sporting director. It is our mission and ambition to take KRC Genk to an even higher level in the coming years.”
