In the virtual version of the Pro League, Gilles Bernard won the final with a wonderful comeback win against Standard Liège. With this result, he takes home a second major prize for KRC Genk Esports this season, as the Proximus ePro League is the most important FIFA competition in Belgium.
After the first game there were a bit of a nerves as Shadoow (Standard Luik) had beaten our Gilles 0-2. Afterwards he got to grips with the tactical approach of his opponent and he managed to turn the tables with a 3-0 victory. It is an important result, as it gives us a place in FIFA's Global Series Play-Offs, a competition where the best 128 FIFA players in the world face off.
“I am very proud and relieved after such a long season. Despite going behind 0-2, I continued to believe in myself. When my first goal came, I secretly knew it was going to be okay.” said Gilles
