On Wednesday, July 19, our boys will play a friendly in the Estádio do Algarve in Portugal against Sporting CP, the fourth-place team from last season's Portuguese league. It’s a European-level fixture that should help give Bryan Heynen and company an edge in the preliminary rounds of the Champions League.

“Both the training camp and the match against Sporting CP are scheduled in such a way that we can simulate a midweek match followed by a weekend match afterwards. On Saturday, July 22, the last game of our preseason will follow this one, before it really comes down to brass tacks the following week. This is the ideal way to immediately be sharp for our European campaign,” says Team Manager Jordi Garuso.
