KRC Genk players and staff attended a CPR course on Thursday afternoon. The training is part of the GOAL (GO and save A Life) campaign by UEFA and the European Resuscitation Council, which aims to teach CPR specifically to football players and football supporters. After all, CPR in heart failure doubles the chances of survival. This could save more than 100,000 lives across Europe every year. With this campaign, UEFA and the European Resuscitation Council want to train more than 12,000 people in giving CPR. KRC Genk is happy to cooperate with this initiative.
