Central midfielder Thomas Claes has extended his contract for four seasons at KRC Genk. The 20-year-old Bilzenaar, known for his agility and fine long-range shot, fully showed his mettle this season under the wings of Jelle Coen at Jong Genk.
Claes shone in recent months in the Challenger Pro League. In 28 matches, he found the goal no less than seven times as a midfielder. Thomas breathes Genk. His football adventure started at the age of six in the H. Essers Talent Park. 14 years later, he joined the A-team. Another talented youth player makes the move to the first team.
