Yasuda joins Jong Genk from Oita Trinita, a club in Japan’s second division. In addition, he wears the captain's armband for Japan’s U20 national team. He is known for his technical skills and game intelligence. Despite his young age, he has experience in professional football in his home country and with the national youth teams. With this background, he is expected to bring experience and a strong mentality to the team.

Stijn Haeldermans, technical coordinator of Jong Genk, explains the decision to sign Yasuda:
"We are delighted to welcome Kenshin to Jong Genk. He is a player we have been following for some time. As a ball-playing ‘6’ or ‘8’, he fits perfectly into our football philosophy. We hope to have him available immediately for the remainder of the season."

Expectations for the future

Genk’s scouting department sees Yasuda as a player with great potential. The club hopes he can quickly adapt to the level of Belgian professional football and play a key role in Jong Genk’s fight to stay in the Challenger Pro League.
