Lorenzo Youndje, born on April 12, 2005, in Yaoundé (Cameroon), is a versatile player. While his preferred position is left-back, he can also play as a left winger or right winger. This flexibility makes him a valuable addition to Jong Genk.
Development at KAS Eupen
Youndje spent part of his youth development at Standard before moving to KAS Eupen in 2020. In October 2023, he signed his first professional contract, committing to the club until mid-2027. This move to Jong Genk presents him with an opportunity to further develop in professional football.
The loan agreement between Jong Genk and KAS Eupen runs until the end of the current season. Additionally, a purchase option is included in the contract, allowing Jong Genk to make Youndje’s transfer permanent after the loan period.
Stijn Haeldermans, technical coordinator of Jong Genk, explains:
"We are delighted to add Lorenzo to our squad. His technical skills and versatility allow us to deploy him in multiple positions. Last season, he already made several appearances at the highest level. With his experience, he can bring an extra dimension to our Jong Genk team."
