The 2024-2025 season has officially come to an end. Genk wrapped up the season with an impressive third-place finish, securing a spot in European competition. Just one day after the final matchday – marked by a strong win against RSC Anderlecht – the annual Pro League Awards ceremony took place in Antwerp, celebrating the season’s standout moments. Genk walked away with two major honours.
Top Scorer – Tolu Arokodare
Under head coach Thorsten Fink, Tolu Arokodare developed into a nightmare for defenders throughout the league. With 21 goals in the Jupiler Pro League, the Nigerian striker claimed the Top Scorer award for the 2024-2025 season. In doing so, he follows in the footsteps of legendary former Genk strikers such as Branko Strupar, Wesley Sonck, and Paul Onuachu.
Goal of the Season – Konstantinos Karetsas
In the opening match of the Champions’ Play-Offs against KAA Gent, Konstantinos Karetsas produced a moment of magic. With his left foot, the young Greek talent curled the ball beautifully into the top corner – a goal worthy of any highlight reel. That moment of brilliance earned him the Goal of the Season award at the Pro League gala.
KRC Genk is extremely proud of the individual achievements of both Tolu and Kos.
