Yira Sor has completed a move to Turkish side Amed Sportif, coached by Besnik Hasi. The Nigerian winger leaves the Cegeka Arena after making 119 competitive appearances in blue and white.
Sor joined Genk in January 2023. With his contract due to expire in January next year, a transfer was the logical next step. Over the past few seasons, the Nigerian has caught the eye in particular with his blistering pace and explosiveness.
Last season, Sor made headlines across the football world when he clocked a top speed of 37.7 km/h following a phenomenal sprint against AA Gent. No player in top-level international football had recorded a higher speed in recent seasons.
Sor leaves KRC Genk with a tally of 17 goals and 8 assists.
