KRC Genk reached an agreement with Zulte Waregem on the transfer of Theo Bongonda. The 23 year old winger signs a contract until 2023.
Theo is a fast and explosive winger, strong in 1 on 1 situations. The young Belgian was formed in Lierse where he left for Celta de Vigo at only 20 years old. He played no less than 77 games in the Primera Division. Afterwards he was on loan in Trabzonspor and Zulte-Waregem where he played 39 games, scored 14 goals and provided 14 assists last season. Theo was a Youth international with 8 caps and 2 goals for the Belgian U21.
Theo was a transfer target in Belgium and abroad. KRC Genk are pleased he chose for the project in Genk.
