We are proud to announce that on Tuesday, September 12, our Cegeka Arena will host a friendly between Japan and Turkey.
Japan, currently ranked 20th in the world and Turkey, currently 41st, have so far faced each other twice, with one win each. Turkey won the last meeting 1-0, in the round of 16 at the 2002 World Cup hosted by Japan and South Korea.
It will also be a nice reunion for us with Junya Ito, while the many Turkish supporters here in the region will be eager to cheer on their national heroes.
