What had been in the air for a while is now official. Joseph Paintsil is moving to LA Galaxy in the MLS. Joske arrived in Limburg in 2018. After an earlier loan spell to Turkish side Ankaragücü, he completely exploded under the wings of Wouter Vrancken last season. From the right, the Ghanaian winger was a scourge for any defence in the 2022-2023 season. He eventually clocked up 14 goals and as many assists. In total, Paintsil played 168 games in our beloved colours. In those, he managed to find the goal 40 times and gave 28 assists. Joske signed a four-season contract on the American West Coast. The whole Genk family would like to thank Joske for the great years and wish him all the best in his new adventure.
