KRC Genk continue to stir in the transfer market. Young American Kayden Pierre makes the switch from US-based Kansas City. He signs a contract at the Cegeka Arena for four seasons. Pierre is a right wing defender trained as a midfielder. This allows him to play in several other positions as well. Although the first team already has a double at right wingback, the brand-new Genkie was considered an opportunity the sporting cell did not want to pass up. The 21-year-old American promise international will start training with the first team, but will initially play matches at Jong Genk.
"In the current transfer market, outside chances have become rare. Despite the fact that we are already comfortable on the right, Kayden was such an interesting profile that we did not want to pass him up. He combines tremendous explosiveness with solid technical baggage," Head of Football Dimitri de Condé explained the choice of the American.
