KRC Genk is entering into a new partnership with 4GOLD, the Belgian producer of high-quality sports supplements. The company, which has made a name for itself in recent years within international endurance sports, will become the official supplier of nutritional supplements and sports nutrition for KRC Genk’s entire athletic operation: from the Talent Academy and Jong Genk to KRC Genk Ladies and the first team.

4GOLD, co-founded by Mathieu van der Poel, currently works with teams and athletes such as Alpecin-Deceuninck and tennis player Elise Mertens. Through this collaboration with KRC Genk, the company is now taking an important next step into professional football. KRC Genk, for its part, has deliberately chosen a partner with proven scientific expertise and experience at the highest international level.

“We are very proud to begin this partnership with KRC Genk. It is a warm and ambitious club. With 4GOLD, we aim to support athletes with the right sports nutrition and supplements, developed on the basis of science and elite sports experience. Being able to do this within a club with such a strong focus on development and performance feels like a perfect match,” says Brent Luyckx, CEO of 4GOLD.

With the arrival of 4GOLD, KRC Genk aims to further optimise the performance of all its players. This partnership will help the club create the high-performance environment it strives for.

“This partnership with 4GOLD fits perfectly within our vision on health and performance and supports us in the further professionalisation we are pursuing. Their products are backed by a strong scientific foundation, and their experience in endurance sports guarantees a very high level of quality. The fact that we can now implement these sports supplements across our entire player pyramid – from youth to first team – is a major step forward for the club’s overall sporting operations,” says Devon Maes, Head of Health & Performance at KRC Genk.
