KRC Genk and Patrik Hrošovský have reached an agreement on a transfer to Viktoria Plzeň. The Slovak midfielder thus returns to the club where he previously wrote an important chapter of his career. Hrošovský joined Genk in 2019 and, in the years that followed, became a mainstay within the squad. In total, he wore the blue-and-white shirt 261 times and played a key role in both domestic and European campaigns. With his experience, commitment, and professionalism, he was also an important presence in the dressing room.

In recent months, Patrik clearly expressed his desire to return to Viktoria Plzeň, in his wife’s hometown. Following constructive discussions between all parties involved, a solution has now been found that suits both the player and the club. Patrik said goodbye to his teammates and the technical staff on Thursday during the training camp in Marbella, before travelling to Benidorm to join his new team.

KRC Genk would like to sincerely thank Patrik Hrošovský for his many years of dedication, loyalty, and commitment to the club, and wishes him every success in the next stage of his career.
